CORNING/ QUEBEC CITY/TURNING STONE
Featuring Montmorency Falls and St. Anne Beaupre
SEPTEMBER 14-19 6 DAYS/5 NIGHTS
Isn’t it time we revisit our friendly neighbors to the north? Grab your passport and come along as we explore the beauty and charm of Quebec, along with some exciting sites in upstate New York. Our first stop enroute will be the iconic Corning Museum where lunch will be included in the cafe along with plenty of time to see glass blowing, some historic pieces of glass and time to explore the extensive gift shop. From here we will travel to Syracuse, NY for our overnight. Next morning we set our sights on Quebec, with a stop for lunch and exploring the Old Port in Montreal. This afternoon we will depart for Quebec City to check in to our hotel for three nights. Next morning, following a city tour, we will experience one of the tour highlights as we experience high tea (included) at the gorgeous Le Frontenac Hotel, high on the hill, reigning over the old town like a castle. Your afternoon and evening are free to explore both the lower and upper towns (via funicular) of this very European city. Our next day will be one of excitement as we set out for the famous Shrine of Sainte Anne de Beaupre’. This extraordinary stop will awe you with its masterpieces and architecture. Our next stop will be Marie’s Bread Oven for a slice of bread with the famous maple butter, before we go on to see Gilles family Copper Shop and Museum. Our lunch today will be on the picturesque Ile’ du Orleans. This will be the traditional stick to your ribs fare enjoyed by the maple sugar workers, of course with lots of maple products. This afternoon we will move on to Montmorency Falls, one and one-half times higher than Niagara Falls and we will ride the cable car for a bird's eye view. Returning to Québec City, we’ll have time for dinner at a place of our choice before returning to the hotel. Next day we head back to the states and arrive at Turning Stone Casino Hotel in time for an included dinner and to enjoy the shopping, dining and gaming at this beautiful resort. Our breakfast will be included before checking out and our travels will take us to the Genesee Country Village and Museum to tour this extraordinary 19th century living history village full of homes and shops with costumed interpreters. Lunch will be included here before we complete our journey home with an early evening arrival back home sweet home.
