Big Apple Breaks 2012
Visit New York City, THE BIG APPLE, for the best in shopping, dining, shows and sightseeing. We are pleased to present our trips in Manhattan with no cost increase. We are committed to continue to stay on the island, even though it is a bit pricier than New Jersey, as we feel this is TRULY a visit to New York City. Our office will be happy to help you select and purchase Broadway show tickets, or to help you make the purchase on your own. Check our website “widget” for available show listings or call and our staff can help. On all trips you will have free time to visit Ellis Island and to see the Statue of Liberty if you wish. Saturday is free all day for you to enjoy the city. A ticket for a Double Decker Bus narrated city tour with 22 stops will be sold by our escort on board the coach to those who are interested for approximately $44 per person. Sunday morning, on trips we can obtain passes, we’ll stop at the new Ground Zero Memorial before going to Canal Street in China Town and Little Italy for bargain shopping and to Grand Central Station for a lunch stop in colder weather and South Street Seaport in the warm months. Departure from the city will be 2:00 P.M. with a dinner stop at Country Cupboard in Lewisburg, PA and late evening arrival home. We continue to use the Travel Inn on 42nd St. at 10th Ave with good results. Their web site is www.newyorkhotel.com. Our July trip is over the 4th this year and our hotel is a mere block from the action as Macy’s sponsors the fireworks opposite the Hudson River. You can bring a chair and sit right on the West Side Highway!!

This is a chance to take a bite out of the Big Apple without taking a bite out of your workweek! These trips will depart at approx. midnight on Friday and arrive in the city in time for breakfast. You will be dropped off in mid -town near Macy’s and then the day is yours to shop, dine or catch a show. Our coach will depart the city at 8:00 P.M. Saturday and arrive back in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
